Initial Compliance

Course Description:

This is the first required course for enforcement personnel. The course emphasizes the essential elements of Conducting Inspections and Investigations and contains a segment devoted to an overview of Providing Compliance Assistance. This is a Blended Learning Course. Students must complete a web-based segment of the course prior to attending the resident portion. The web-based segment is approximately 7 seat hours. The course ensures the students have the fundamentals of Documenting and Presenting Information, highlights the key aspects of Developing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships and the importance of Personal Conduct and Professional Development. Course Goal: The student will be able to identify CSHO responsibilities related to carrying out the OSHA mission and to enforce the OSHA Act, including responsibilities related to conducting an inspection; and promoting, assessing and enforcing workplace safety and health compliance.
