Principles of Industrial Ventilation
Course Description:
This course covers the principles of industrial ventilation as a means of controlling hazardous air contaminants. This is a Blended Learning Course. Students must complete a web-based training portion of the course prior to attending the resident portion. The web-based portion may require up to 14 hours seat time. Topics include the classification of ventilation systems, fundamentals of air flow, make-up air, fans, ventilation system surveys, and OSHA policy and standards. Course highlights include laboratories utilizing the Institute's simulated industrial ventilation system. Course is calculation intensive and requires a basic knowledge of algebra.
