Industrial Toxicology

Course Description:

This course is not offered every year. This course is designed to apply toxicological data to industrial processes to assist with the evaluation of protective practices for employees during inspections or task evaluation. This is a Blended Learning Course. Students must complete a web-based training portion of course prior to attending the resident portion. The web-based portion may require up to 9 hours seat time. Topics include an update of recent toxicological data related to OSHA standards, biological monitoring, biotransformation, an update on current methods of toxicological testing, and recognized chemical hazards encountered in the industrial environment with emphasis on new toxicological information in support of hazard recognition.
