Biohazards

Course Description:

This course is not offered every year. This course assists health and safety professionals with the recognition, evaluation, and control of biological hazards during occupational exposure. This is a Blended Learning Course. Students must complete a web-based training portion of the course prior to attending the resident portion. The web-based portion may require up to 6 hours seat time. Focus is placed on work practices, personal protective equipment, control techniques, recognized pathogens, and current applicable OSHA standards. Course includes discussions of the bloodborne pathogens standard, TB, compliance policy, and inspection techniques.
